Instructions

  1. Prepare the savoury bites: Make your chosen savoury finger foods, such as courgette-feta rolls, feta muffins, egg muffins, salmon and spinach roll, quiches, red cabbage salad and meatballs, following each individual recipe. These all taste great served either warm or cold.
  2. Make the warm savoury dishes: Bake the quick low-carb pizza or the tuna-crust pizza. For the buffet, shape the tuna crust into small rounds before adding the toppings, so they're easy to serve as finger food.
  3. Prepare the soups: Cook your chosen soup (creamy carrot, pumpkin or minced beef and leek) well in advance. Soups keep brilliantly and can be reheated in individual portions just before serving.
  4. Assemble the salads: Make the green bean salad or the rocket salad with goat's cheese, then set them out in bowls on the buffet.
  5. Bake the breads and bakes: Bake crispbread, oopsies or quark rolls following each recipe. Oopsies are best straight from the oven. Top the quark rolls with smoked salmon, or go sweet with quark and strawberries.
  6. Prepare the sweet treats: Make the quark dessert, quark cake and poppy seed cake following each recipe, so your buffet doesn't miss out on a sweet note.
  7. Arrange the platters and extras: Put together a cheese board with radishes, tomatoes or olives. Arrange tomato and mozzarella sticks with basil and pesto or a balsamic dressing. Prepare a crudité platter with a dip such as hummus. Lay everything out on large platters.
  8. Set out the drinks: Fill glass carafes with fresh water and add basil, organic lemons, organic oranges or thyme. Also prepare some smoothies and a mango lassi as an aperitif. In the colder months, a warm punch makes a lovely addition too.
